The Radical Benefits Of Grounding

  Do you ever find yourself feeling anxious, restless or irritated?  Would you be interested in a method, one hundred percent free and available to you right now, to reduce that anxiety, bring you into balance, and improve any health conditions along with it?  Welcome to the new field and very ancient practice, of Earthing.  All you have to do, to enjoy this benefit, is get the soles of your feet on the ground! Such effects relate to inflammation, immune responses, wound healing, and prevention and treatment of chronic inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.  For more in-depth reading, you can check out studies like the one published in the Journal of Environmental and Public Health titled “Earthing: Health Implications of Reconnecting the Human Body to the Earth’s Surface Electrons”. You won’t see many advertisements for Earthing, despite the radical and free benefits.  The reason why?  Well, you guessed that already.  No one can package this, control it, meter or profit from it in any way.  You can sell a few grounding pads, but this doesn’t have the kind of returns the medical profiteering complex is looking for, so we won’t see it mass-marketed anytime soon, despite the radical benefits.  And that is perfectly fine.  This is your birthright as a child of Earth, and it is just waiting for you to connect. Do you like to feel your feet on the sand at the beach?  Ever walk in the water, just a few inches in, and let the saltwater soak up to your ankles?  No doubt you’ve noticed how good that feels, how grounded you feel afterward.  It turns out you knew exactly what you were doing.  Salt water is highly conductive, so even with your feet in the ocean as you walk along the sand, you are the most grounded you can be.  For those who have the tremendous good fortune to live near the ocean, and for those who vacation there, it is the best possible way to ground. Many of us are stuck inside for work, and for this, grounding pads are also quite popular.  This is something computer techs have long been aware of.  They wear an antistatic wrist strap, so the excess electricity in their bodies doesn’t fry sensitive components.  Nothing wrong with that, but you don’t have to install a sensitive RAM module to acquire a grounding pad; they are available everywhere these days.  Grounding pads utilize that third plug in your electrical outlet, which connects to a rod outside the building, planted right in the Earth.  These pads can be highly beneficial, especially when you sleep!  Why not stay grounded for the eight hours you spend in bed? The benefit, notwithstanding the cost of a grounding pad, is free.  Users report these pads help with sleep quality, mood, brain coherence, and stress. Still, there is nothing like getting your feet outside on the cool green grass.  True, some of us live in the city, but you can always walk to the park, or make use of that strip of green where you park your car at the bookstore, or anywhere else you can manage.  All you need is a few square feet in which to connect with the beautiful blue planet that sustains you.  Be creative, and don’t make this complicated.  In fact, this is a great time to connect with a friend, or speak with a client for your work. Get your bare feet on the ground, and make that call.  You may just find you feel grounded, centered, and in a better and stronger place.
